Delhi to Srinagar
There is a nonstop. Take an early one.
Delhi is the easiest city in India to reach Srinagar from, and it is the hub every other city connects through. Nonstops leave through the morning and the flight is barely ninety minutes — less than the drive to the airport for most of Gurgaon and Noida.
Take an early departure if you can. Srinagar sits in a bowl of mountains and afternoon weather closes it more often than it closes Delhi. A morning flight that turns back is usually rebooked the same day; an evening one costs you a night of the trip.
Srinagar airport runs two security checks and they are slower than you expect, so we build a wider airport buffer into the departure day than we would anywhere else.

When to go from Delhi
Your calendar, not the valley’s.
Four nights is enough from Delhi and five is comfortable. It is the only city on this list where a three-night trip isn't a waste of the airfare.
May and June
Delhi's worst heat is the valley's best weather — high twenties, everything green, every road open. It is the busiest window for exactly that reason, so hotels go early and the airfare goes with them.
The long weekends
The short flight is what makes a four-night trip worth taking at all, and from Delhi it genuinely is. Nowhere else on this list can you build a Kashmir holiday around a public holiday and not spend half of it travelling.
December to February
Snow in Gulmarg, and the cheapest weeks of the year either side of the new year. The risk at this time of year is at the Delhi end rather than ours — winter fog delays morning departures out of DEL, so we keep the first day light.

- How long is the flight from Delhi to Srinagar?
- About an hour and twenty-five minutes nonstop. It is the shortest hop to Kashmir from any major Indian city.
- Is there a direct flight from Delhi to Srinagar?
- Yes, several a day, mostly in the morning. IndiGo and Air India carry the bulk of it and more capacity appears over the summer. We'd still put you on an early one — the valley's weather is more likely to interfere later in the day.
- What does a Kashmir trip from Delhi actually cost in total?
- Take the package price, which is per person and land-only, and add roughly ₹6,000 to ₹14,000 return for the flight depending on the season and how far ahead you book. For two people on a five-night premium itinerary that lands somewhere around ₹75,000 to ₹90,000 all in.
- Can we do Kashmir from Delhi over a long weekend?
- Yes, and it's the main reason people book the three- and four-night itineraries. Fly out Friday morning, back Monday evening, and you get the lake, the gardens and one of the two big valleys. You will not fit Sonamarg in as well — don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
- Do you book the flights too?
- No, and it's deliberate. Our prices are land-only because you will nearly always beat us on your own card or points, and keeping the ticket in your name means you can move it without going through us. We will tell you which flight to be on and hold the itinerary around it.
